Guido
Alvigini has received the degree in law from Catholic University in Milan
with full honours and a specialisation in International Business Law.
He has been constantly involved in international business and corporate
law on behalf of both Italian and foreign companies, offering assistance
in joint venture projects, import-export, foreign investments, disputes
settlement, mergers and acquisitions in a number of business sectors,
such as banking, automotive industry, industrial machinery, engineering,
textile industry, international transport, food industry, trading, publishing,
telecommunications, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
In particular, he has handled the negotiations and drawn up contracts
involving finance, taxation, administrative, patent rights issues and
completed market researches for sales and distribution.
For the past 15 years, he has mainly focused on countries in the Far East,
he was the first licensed Italian lawyer in the People's Republic of China
and Vietnam - and on Australia, where he has travelled extensively and
gained considerable experience.
Prior to this period, he had also acquired a solid background and experience
in the USA and in South American countries, including Argentina and Peru.
He was appointed Director and/or Chief Representative of various ventures
established in Vietnam, the PRC and Peru.
He has also written a number of articles on various aspects of foreign
investment in Asia and on the immigration to Australia and delivered public
lectures on such topics.
He has participated in some projects in the Electronic commerce area as
an advisor and he has attended various workshops and conferences on the
legal and taxation issues related to E-commerce and, specifically, contracts
via the Internet.
Since 2001, Guido Alvigini has been practicing in Sydney, where he is
specialising in international business law and immigration law.
Guido Alvigini is an accredited lawyer to the Italian and French authorities in Australia
(Embassies, Consulates General, Trade Commissions, Chambers of Commerce)
and the Australian Consulate General (Austrade) in Milan.
As a registered Migration Agent (N° 0212219), he renders advice on
different issues, such as temporary and permanent visas, residence and
citizenship-related problems, refugee and humanitarian visas.
